In the heart of the Flora Campus: Hortus Lab will be created as a meeting place for entrepreneurs, students and business partners. It is designed as a group of three buildings: a central building with an auditorium, meeting rooms and hospitality facilities. In the two adjoining buildings, Hortus Lab focuses on housing scaleups and footholds of universities and universities of applied sciences with a strong focus on Food & Agritech.
A scaleup is a company that has already proven the success of its product or service and is now growing, or aiming to grow, rapidly in terms of revenue, staff and or market share. The key difference compared to a startup is that a scaleup focuses on further expansion and development.

Hortus Lab offers a unique and transparent all inclusive model. The rental of office space includes all services, such as access to shared meeting rooms, internet, cleaning and coffee.
Through Hortus Lab, you gain access to our extensive network of potential collaboration partners, other scaleups, investors, stakeholders and students at the Flora Campus.
Every scale-up at Hortus Lab has the opportunity to work with a dedicated business coach from the Hortus Lab network. This coach is an experienced entrepreneur and/or advisor who provides practical, hands-on support across a wide range of topics. The coach helps you think strategically and pragmatically, so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You receive tailor-made advice on topics such as financing, market approach, international expansion, HR challenges, and product development, among others. Each scale-up is offered a quarterly coaching session.
