Westland is known for its greenhouse horticulture. We are proud of our expertise in vegetables, fruit, flowers and plants, and we share this knowledge with the world. By bringing together all the knowledge and strength of Westland, we can continue to put Westland firmly on the map. Over the next fifteen years, we are therefore developing a unique location. The area around the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk will become the beating heart for research, entrepreneurship, education and collaboration in greenhouse horticulture: Flora Campus Westland.
Flora Campus Westland will become the beating heart for Education, Research and Entrepreneurship in greenhouse horticulture. We also add a fourth focus: Meeting and Connection. Pupils, students, entrepreneurs and local residents will come together in this vibrant place. Health and technology are central here.
Within this area, we also seize opportunities for housing. We will build homes for multiple target groups. Good accessibility by public transport is an important factor. A green park with water features will ensure that Flora Campus Westland is an attractive environment for living, working and learning.
